Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOliver's Jagged Rock Vineyard and its deep, glacial till soils at 365-385m yields this 70/30 sauvignon blanc / sémillon. Predominantly fermented in stainless, 10% went to neutral French oak, while 5% fermented in concrete egg. The sauvy is evident up front, with pithy lemon, tangerine, gooseberry, and passionfruit leading. The sém shows on the palate, with a slight oily slick, gliding this to a snappy, sagebrush finish.
