Jean Collet & Fils Chablis 2017
Chablis, Burgundy, FranceThe vineyards for this wine come from mostly from Villy, Vallée du Valvent, Préhy, and the Valley de Chigot, all on kimmeridgian limestone marl bedrock and clay topsoil. Grapes were planted between 1978-83, underwent a native ferment with full MLF, and aged on lees in steel for 11 months with no batonnage. Lemon crisp and bright, with a pretty note of orange blossom, light melon, verbena gracing a slender palate over a fine bed of lees, finishing with a slight mineral buzz. Charming, honest, drink-me-now Chablis.Tasted: 26 April 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $40.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
