CedarCreek Platinum Block 2 Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the lower blocks of their clay-soiled vineyard in Kelowna and clone 225 from 27-year-old vines, this was native fermented over 4 weeks in concrete before moving to French oak for one year, before bottling without fining or filtration. Wild plum, cherry is striated with dusty stones and gravels, and subtle cinnamon spicing, based on a clay layer. Tannins are taut and lightly grippy, hugging this to a spiced finish. Drinking well now with pork or wild mushrooms will easily last a couple of years in the cellar.Tasted: 30 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:
