Argiano Non Confunditur NC Rosso Toscano 2017
Tuscany, ItalyNon-Confunditur is the Argiano motto and found on the family crest. Does it translate to unique or as Berndino Sani translates it, 'not to be confused', from the Latin. It a Super Tuscan mix of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and sangiovese, but the fruit comes off younger vines, less than 20-years-old, hence Sani’s description of NC as a baby or junior Super Tuscan, and it fits. Look for plummy, spicy, savoury fruit aromas and blocky flavours that spill across the palate. Slightly rustic at this point, this will need three to five years to come into its own.
