Tightrope Winery Pinot Noir Fleet Road Vineyard 2018
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOne of two pinot noirs from 2018 comes from their estate Naramata Bench Tightrope Vineyard and the adjacent Garage Vineyard. After destemming, a 5-day cold soak, and native ferment, this was aged in French oak (30% new) for 10 months before bottling. This is a bright, finely textured pinot, offering raspberry, ripe strawberries on a leather and forest spices bed. Acidity is bright and cran-twinged, and the tannins are long and lightly grippy, guiding this medium+ pinot along a silken palate.
