Meyer Family Vineyards Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc de Blanc 2014
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's Blanc de Blanc (sp) is from the home estate McLean Creek Road Vineyard, and its steep gravelled sandy loams, was whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless where it was kept for two years (!) with lees prior to being bottled for secondary fermentation in summer 2016. It remained on lees in bottle for 28 months prior to a spring 2019 disgorgement, with no dosage and bottling unfined and unfiltered. Our bottles were led with corn chips, battling it out with the pure lemon, sharp green apple underneath. There's a raw dough note lingering on the sharp finish.
