Les Ligeriens Rosé d`Anjou 2018
Anjou, Loire, FranceLes Ligeriens hails from the southwestern part of the Maine-et-Loire, bordering Saumur, on low-lying slopes over solid schist. The colour is a pinkish-red, the style is off-dry, but with an underlying freshness and minerality that gives it the necessary lift to entice. Ripe strawberries and juicy ripe watermelon fill the palate. It is best served well-chilled but is perhaps best destined to be served with spicy poke tuna bowls, or Szechuan noodle dishes. The blend is roughly 50/50 gamay/grolleau. Grolleau is a red grape grown primarily in the Loire Valley, whose name is derived from the word grolle, meaning crow and is said to reflect the deep, black coloured berries.Tasted: 10 February 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $19.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
