Sardinia, ItalyThere's a lovely glossy / oily slick that glides this vermentino along the medium-bodied palate, flowing with lemon drop, musk melon, pink apple, Asian pear, and fine almond spice. You can feel the warm Sardinian sunshine and the grape's tendency to build alcohol and glycerol here, with a warming flush on the finish. These grapes come from the area of Olbia Tempio, at the north of the island, where the sea breezes feed the acidity.
