Rodney Strong Rosé of Pinot Noir 2019
Russian River, Sonoma County, California, United StatesI liked 2018, and 2019 is every bit as tasty. So many California rosés are too sweet but not this one. It is dry, and it is a real delight to taste this crisp, lemon, strawberry affair. It is 90 percent Russian River Valley pinot noir, with a 10 percent injection of Monterey fruit and a pale pink Provençal colour to finish the story. Congratulations to RS for going down the fresh, dry road and making this food-friendly.
