Rodney Strong Pinot Noir 2017
Russian River, Sonoma County, California, United StatesRodney Strong was among the early modern pioneers to plant pinot noir in the Russian River Valley. In 1968, he planted the heritage River East Vineyard, giving today's team 50 years of experience growing the fussy grape that seems to thrive in The Russian River Valley. Open, fragrant, dark cherry fruit greets the nose and tumbles across the palate dusted in baking spice and soft, round tannins. A rich, friendly, New World pinot that pairs well with grilled pork chops, spicy tuna rolls, or a simple mushroom and cheese pizza. Good value too.Tasted: 29 January 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $29.99 | 750ml | private wine shops - summer 2020 |
