Rigour & Whimsy Gamay Noir 2018
West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom a single vineyard in West Kelowna, this gamay was whole cluster fermented, partial carbonic, and aged in used puncheons and barriques for 8 months. Slight in hue, and body, this presents with youthful rhubarb, tart cranberry, and lipsmaking young raspberry acidity, thinly wrapped with a skin of tannins. A wash of balsamic vinegar adds to the brightness, as does a mere 10 degrees alcohol.
