Olivier Leflaive Meursault Narvaux 2015
Meursault, Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceThis is a more restrained style of Meursault – almost Chassagne-like – with ripe lemon, well-integrated oak, hazelnut, and a floral lift. Olivier Leflaive seems to have deftly handled the heat of the vintage; the palate is still taut, with some mid-palate richness, but really nice fruit purity. There’s some tartness to the finish, which may indicate that some acid adjustment was required this year. Quite precise and elegant, it’s not exactly a steal at this price but worth seeking out for a special occasion.Tasted: 11 January 2020Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:BC | $120.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
