Niepoort Conciso Branco 2016

Dão, Northern Portugal, PortugalTasted 18 months along since my last 2016, and this little Dão white is showing beautifully. Based on 60-100 year old bical, encruzado, and malvasia, along with a smattering of other indigenous white grapes from Quinta da Lomba's granitic soils. This was native fermented in granite tanks before transfer to older 500L barrels for MLF and 20 months' rest, without bâtonnage. White peach, pear, quince is woven with meadow grasses, flax, and downy lees, lit with lemon peel, and studded with flake salts through the saline finish. Enjoy watching this unravel over the evening. Beauty now, and with time ahead.Tasted: 07 July 2021Tasted by: Prices: BC 36.00 private wine shops Producer: Niepoort (Vinhos) S.A.Distributors: Vintage Corks Limited
