The blend is a classic mix of syrah, grenache, and mourvèdre, made by local vintner Patrick Lesec. It’s all you could want for the money, and far more interesting than the Kirkland Cabernet at nearly 50% more money. The wine is medium-bodied with soft, round black fruit, a twist of licorice, spice, and garrigue, to a dusty liquorice finish.
