Alella, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainAlta Alella is the closest winery to Barcelona, producing Mediterranean-influenced organic wines. Established in 1991 on the 19th century Can Genís estate, the family winery has always practiced certified organic farming techniques from the outset. This blend of Pansa Blanca (Xarel.lo), Macabeu, Parellada was aged 15 months, with no dosage at bottling. Light toast, green and red apple, is brisk with a grippy acidity which carries this long to a sharp, saline finish. Very concentrated on the medium bodied palate.
