Sicily, ItalyFrom 3rd generation winemaker Vito Lauria, Vino Lauria is based in the northwest corner of Sicily, though fruit for this bottle comes from the eastern island's sandy soils. After some youthful reduction blows off, the scrubby herbs, wild raspberry, sapid cherry, spring rhubarb comes through, framed with lightly tuggy tannins (reflective of the climate), and lofted with an easy mineral salinity (reflective of the 600-1000m altitude).
