Château Los Boldos Grande Réserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Valle del Cachapoal, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileThis wine is from the Cachapoal Valley, 100 kilometres south of Santiago. The valley takes its name the Cachapoal River that crosses the region from the Andes Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. The vineyards sit within the Andes denomination that maps out the critical wine zones from west to east and the influences of the sea or the mountains. A classic ferment in stainless steel is followed by ten months in French oak. The attack is fresh and not too herbal with lovely supple tannins that belie its price. The fruit is red and black, with cherries and plums dominating. You can drink or hold this for another three to five years.Tasted: 21 December 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $26.25 | 750ml | private wine shops |
