Tiberio Trebbiano d'Abruzzo 2018
Abruzzo, ItalySpring is here, and despite the worries of COVID-19, we felt the need to share something fresh to add some vibrancy to your meals at home and lighten your weekend. We also want to recognize our Italians friends who are particularly suffering at the moment. The story of Azienda Agricola Tiberio is old, but the latest results under owner winemaker Riccardo Tiberio is all new and exciting. The vineyard lies 37 kilometres inland under the Majella and Gran Sasso mountains in Abruzzo, near Cugnoli. The vines are roughly 50-years old, and they deliver impressive fruit. After several encounters in late 2019, it is safe to say this is a delicious white wine offering northern-like freshness with a touch of southern power. The attack is skinny with bright grapefruit, lemon, lime, nettle and ginger notes—real wine at a fair price.Tasted: 06 November 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
