The Hatch Hatchfinity NV
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWhat began as a vintage wine has morphed into non-vintage, now multi-vintage, multi-vineyard and multi variety, which explains everything and nothing, and that, officially makes it a Hatch wine, I guess. The nose is a mix of chocolate syrup and cherries with some lifted notes. The palate is soft and sweet, with some acidity poking through the back end; wine as it only could happen at The Hatch. I’m not sure where this wine is going, but it has a few issues to resolve in the meantime. Cellar through 2022 or serve with sturdy winter dishes like wild boar stew.Tasted: 05 November 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $37.99 | 750ml |
