Jarre Beaujolais-Villages 2016
Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceJarre BV is an excellent example of what is going on in modern Beaujolais. The nose is an explosion of black plums and black cherries with a satiny, succulent palate. It is easy- sipping but with enough heft to take on a fall dish of mushroom pasta, or risotto. You could also lay this down for a year or two and wait to see it at its zenith. Not cheap but impressive for a Beaujolais-Villages.
