The 2018 Character Red mixes four varieties of Golden Mile fruit. The blend is a mix of old vine merlot, syrah, petit verdot, and malbec, handpicked and handled gently, as emphasized by its round edges and soft textures. The flavours are a bright mix of savoury dark fruit, dried herbs with a dusting of vanilla. You can drink this now, and the winery suggests you do it with smoked ribs or pulled pork.
