Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThe 2015 blend is 61/17/22 grenache, mourvèdre and syrah, with partial whole bunch in a concrete ferment. The ageing is done in a mix of vessels: 55% foudres, 30% older barrels, and 15% cement. Another tighter, drier, more serious styled Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the palate is intense with spicy, gamey, earthy, tobacco notes that, over time, should give this wine a fabulous base to age.
