Mission Hill Terroir Collection Vista's Edge Cabernet Franc 2017
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Oliver's Vista's Edge Vineyard, this big, powerful, dense cabernet franc has absorbed all of the Southern Okangan's desert sun. Thankfully, it's transmitted to us now with a couple of years of age, allowing the wood and impact to settle some. This is the inaugural release of this wine, and it's a very promising start. It was aged 15 months in French oak (25% new). Softened ripe cassis, wild blackberry is seasoned with cedar and threaded with cool mint. Tannins are plush, guiding this full bodied desert red to a warming, spiced finish.
