Gérard Bertrand Chateau La Sauvageonne La Villa Rosé 2018

Sud de France, FranceCool nights and scorching hot days are the backdrops for Château la Sauvageonne La Villa Rosé, a 65/25/7/3/ blend of grenache, mourvèdre, vermentino, and viognier. The crushed strawberry nose entices along with spicy, floral garrigue. On the palate, the attack is generous with peach, cranberry, cherry with a dusting of sea salt and white pepper. It’s a super pale pink that tastes even better than it looks. Château la Sauvageonne joined the fold in November 2011, and is located northwest of Montpellier. It fits the Bertrand style given its unique orientation on the Larzac terraces at 300 metres, and on stunning volcanic terroir.Tasted: 19 October 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
