Sepp Moser Classic Style Organic Zweigelt 2017
Weinland Österreich, AustriaThis zweigelt is grown on Sepp Moser's Apelton estate, in Austria's Neusiedlersee region, less than 1km from the Hungarian border. From dark and deep gravelly soils and organically farmed vines, this was destemmed, fermented and aged in stainless for a few months before bottling. Perfumed wild raspberries, white pepper, blueberries ride a slender palate. Tannins are slightly grippy, directing this light red to a peppery, snappy finish. Finesse and nonchalance, in spades.
