Burgenland, Weinland Österreich, AustriaThis beauty biodynamic blau opens with fine dusky pepper infiltrating wild blueberries, wild blackberries, plum, violets along a slender, lightly grippy and very frisky palate. Tannins are whisper fine and acidity is eager. All this makes perfect sense when you know that blaufrankisch translates as "the blue grape of the French". This was sourced from the brown clay soils of Heideboden vineyard, native fermented and aged on lees for 6 months in old oak.
