Mayhem Gewurztraminer 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe vines are 25 years old and originate from cuttings of a German variety, and the clusters are pressed whole to retain its delicate aromatics, although the word delicate might be a stretch. A bit of lees time is the best solution to keeping gewurztraminer from running away from itself in the glass with an over-exuberant, litchi fruit character. It’s a solid effort and ready to drink. Capable of matching most dishes with spice or sweetness that would overpower a completely dry wine.Tasted: 28 August 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $18.00 | 750ml | winery direct, vqa, private retail |
