Liquidity Estate Pinot Noir Reserve 2017

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLiquidy Reserve Pinot is a nice jump up in stying and quality. The complexity begins with a mix of clones: 667, 828, and 115, the latter a precious plot of own-rooted vines planted in 1994. There is a satisfying level of ripeness without being too much. The nose is plummy with red fruit compote, toasted oak, and a light dusting of pepper. On the palate, forest floor, and earthy bitter cherry notes (reminding me of Oregon) fill out the mouth from side to side, finishing long and warm. Tannins are moderate but dense, giving this pinot substantial mouth presence. Duck would be the call here. Drink or hold two to three years.Tasted: 23 April 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 29.00 winery direct; private wine shops Producer: Liquidity Wine LtdDistributors: Winery Direct
