Intersection Unfiltered Cabernet Franc 2015

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA warm year for sure, but the heat held up the ripening, shutting down the vines and stalling ripening for a few days, and the wildfires were equally instrumental in pushing the harvest back to mid-October harvest on the Black Sage Bench. The wine presents as a youthful, juicy, rooty, branchy red with a spicy herbal undercurrent. The tannins are moderate, and the acidity pushy before the oak kicks in and covers the finish. Big and bold, this needs some time in the bottle to settle in but is a strong effort in a challenging year. Best now with a grilled steak.Tasted: 18 July 2019Tasted by: Prices:
