Santa Julia Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaInky purple in colour, this shows surprising varietal typicity for the price. It was also partially aged in French oak barrels for ten months. It’s about what you’d expect from Argentinian cabernet, with chocolatey oak, bright dark fruits, and a sappy green note. The palate is dry (3 g/L residual sugar), and firm with nice freshness. Good value for the price - and a fairly honest wine too, especially if you can get it in Ontario at the LCBO for only $9.95.Tasted: 21 July 2019Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:AB | $17.50 | 750ml | private wine stores |
