Condor Peak Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Mendoza, ArgentinaIt is nice to pull out the cork and see a Diam 3, which is a smart (and TCA free) choice of closure for this style of soft and sweet cabernet sauvignon. Quite muted on the nose, the wine shows some muddled baked red fruits and oak adjuncts. It has a good dose of residual sugar, with tart, unintegrated acidity, soft tannin, and confected fruit. This is a wine that was made for easy drinking, but which just doesn’t bring a lot of pleasure.Tasted: 21 July 2019Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices: BC 13.98 private wine shops Producer: Andean VineyardsDistributors: The Drinks ListGrape: Cabernet SauvignonCSPC: 506113UPC: 7791540044137
