Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe latest Jentsch Cabernet Franc is super ripe thanks to a warm 2015, and the sweetness of fruit leaves me wondering how this wine will be received. Many will love its hedonistic black fruit demeanour, flecked in licorice and dried herbs, with slightly grippy tannins versus more of a meaty, mineral affair with red fruits that we see in cooler years. Long, warm, and peppery, this is a monster red that is best suited to similar menu items like a leg of lamb or venison.
