The site is located on the coastal Santa Maria Bench in Santa Barbara County. This cooler, fog-blanketed and limestone-laden site is planted to clones 4, 76, 96, and the Wente selection. There's a marvellous freshness here led by green apple streaked with lemon and peach folded into a creamy, complex lees that tones the mid-palate down. The finish is equally bright with lots of nutmeg, hazelnut, and more pear and green apple fruit.
