Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Similkameen Valley seems an excellent place for growing the heat-seeking-missile of a grape, viognier. Concentrated orange, apricot, white peach is expressed, though held to a welcome slight 12.2-degree frame and kept dry. The finish is salty and bright, leaving you with a sense of buoyancy, not heft, as viognier is want to do.
