Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaRich, full, wooded, and old school, this sweetish chardonnay is plumped with candied green apple, tropical fruit, vanilla, full cream, honeycomb and a minty coolness on the wood spiced finish. A shot of acidity lifts this, thankfully, though it sticks out from the sweet fruit, making this even more disjointed. Disappointing.Tasted: 25 May 2020Tasted by: Prices:
Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThe colour suggests the wine could be both mature and oaky. It's both pitching a spicy toasted oak nose against warm, forward, ripe pear and apricot flavours. The palate is smooth, the lees muted and the acid strangely low for an Ontario chardonnay. It could use an injection of Thomas Bachelder heading back to Arterra to consult on the Le Clos Jordanne project. Ready to drink.Tasted: 03 April 2019Tasted by: Prices:
