Laderas del Tiétar Garnacha 2017
SpainThis garnacha was made by a co-op (Bodega Cooperativo Cristo del Humilladero) and Comando G, two young friends who farm their own garnacha organically and biodynamically across their collective 15ha of vineyards. In this wine Dani and Fer selected fruit from the co-op growers and advise on the winemaking, trying to assist the members into modernity and sustainability. Garnacha's exuberance is on full display here, with medicinal cherry, strawberry jam, smoked cocoa on a juicy palate, lightly framed by sticky tannins.
