Road 13 Blind Creek Viognier 2017

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRipe, rich and round, this viognier came from the Similkameen, but the winemaking here renders that provenance unrecognizable. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak (33 percent new) this then remained on the lees with monthly batonnage until the following May. Overripe peach, nectarine, butter, on the flabby and sweeter palate, finish off with a vanilla note and overarching impression of wood. Old school.Tasted: 11 February 2019Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
