Galerie Plenaire Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Napa Valley, California, United StatesPleinaire is a reference to the French painters' method of painting outdoors (en plein air), which developed around the same time as Napa's first European-style vineyards in the 1800s. It also plays to the styling of this cabernet sauvignon that tries to stay within itself using complex vineyard sites and soils to create some mid-palate mystery. It’s still Napa rich and powerful with deep, dark abundant fruit but there is a core of acidity and freshness that leads to a structured wine with a long, dry finish. The fruit is sourced from St Helena, Spring Mountain, Atlas peak and Yountville. Best with grilled meats at this youthful stage.Tasted: 01 February 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $83.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Summit Fine Wines |
