Napa Valley, California, United StatesThe 2016 Rutherford Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon was aided by 7 percent malbec, 4 percent Merlot, 3 percent Petite Sirah, and one percent petit verdot, the blend spending at least one year in French and American oak. Chewy oak tannins house sweet ripe cassis, cherry jam, thorns, pitch and leather, finishing with spice and a kirsch kiss.
