Narrative Riesling 2017
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Narrative collection includes wines and spirits made from grapes sourced from independent growers across the Okanagan. The wines are meant to be storytellers that illustrate the Okanagan terroir and growing conditions, chiefly dry, short, and intense. Matt Dumayne has selected his riesling fruit from a warm site in Osoyoos. It’s picked early (19.5 Brix) to protect its bright fruit and acidity, fermented in stainless steel, and aged eight months in concrete egg tanks. The result is a very pleasant riesling based on balance than extreme acidity or sugar. It's not overly complex, but rather juicy and inviting and at 10.5 percent it’s getting close to being gulpable.
