Zuccardi Q Chardonnay 2017

Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe Q-range stems from an old family practice of marking with the oldest uniform plots of each vineyard that yield exceptional quality batches with a "Q" for Quality. This wine is sourced from two vineyards: the limestone laced soils of Gualtallary & El Peral at Tupungato in the Valle de Uco, Mendoza. The nose is an enticing, fragrant, lemon dance with sea salt, lees and wet stone notes. After direct press, this was native fermented in a mix of concrete and 20 percent oak, aged on its lees with no malolactic fermentation; the latter is done to keep the energy up in this white. This wine is all about texture and lees with a creamy mix of pears, peaches and very refined toast that finishes with a film of citrus covered cashews. Simply delicious.
