Vanessa Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe first release of a cabernet sauvignon yields a wild, brawny, stony red with substantial tannins. The palate is a cedar, smoky, oaky affair with a strong undercurrent of Similkameen sagebrush and tumbleweed. Big and robust, this guy is going to need some time to settle into itself. The fruit is not as pure as I might expect so there is work to be done and more finesse would be appreciated.
