The Hatch Hatchchild Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA surprising 2015 in that this presents on the underripe side. Could it be a classic example of too much heat causing the vines to shut down mid-season, and possibly too much smoke protection from the sun? Whatever the cause, the wine presents as a cabernet with not quite enough phenolic ripeness. A resinous, green attack with leafy, peppery, cassis fruit flavours, the tannins are not particularly hard nor are they ripe. Best grilled meats smothered in mushrooms.Tasted: 08 November 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $33.99 | 750ml | winery direct, restaurants |
