Sunrock Vineyards Illumina 2015
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA gloriously warm vintage has beefed up what is already a beefy wine, one that is roughly two-thirds zinfandel and one-third shiraz. There is a pureness of fruit here but not raisins or prunes, just juicy red/black fruits with a bunch of spice. That appears better balanced than the 2013 but it is not without power and an overly friendly blackberry, vanilla, chocolate finish.
