Marchesi di Barolo Barbaresco 2014

Piedmont, ItalyFiercely Barbaresco, the fruit comes from two vineyards in Barbaresco and Neive sitting over mostly clay and calcareous soils. Post ferment wine is racked into concrete tanks lined with fiberglass and insulated with cork where it remains until the malolactic finishes and its moved to 30 hl Slavonian and French oak barrels, and finally, into large classic Slavonian oak casks. Look for a bright fresh style with prominent acidity lending the rose aromas and cherry fruit a sense of elegance even at this young age. Firm, linear, and long this will need time to show its true potential leave alone until 2020 and beyond.Tasted: 02 November 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
