Willakenzie Estate Pinot Gris 2017

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesThe 420-acre winery estate was founded in 1992 at Yamhill-Carlton. Willakenzie takes its name after the sedimentary soil on the estate no doubt deposited by the nearby Willamette and the McKenzie that merge in Eugene. The nose is an open, mineral, lime affair and those traits follow onto the palate. The palate is creamy and ripe finishing on the warm side. It is mostly fermented in stainless steel with just a small amount barrel fermented fruit to add texture and complexity. The mix is 95/5 pinot gris/pinot blanc. Ready to drink. Try this with a favourite curry.Tasted: 02 October 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
