Villa Maria Single Vineyard Seddon Pinot Noir 2013

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandExpect an aromatic, red fruited, floral, herbal nose reflecting a cool pinot noir site. Seddon Vineyard sits on the southern bank of the Awatere River in Marlborough. The site is sheltered from daytime winds and warm during the day and but easily cooled in the evenings with breezes that run down the slopes of the surrounding mountains. The fruit comes from a mix of clones and pruning techniques designed to promote even ripeness. The attack is bright with black cherries, raspberries and mossy/floral highlights that lead to an alluring silky mid-palate and complex, long showy cool finish. Give this five years in the bottle or open now with foie gras or paté.Tasted: 11 October 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
