Trapiche Terroir Series Finca Ambrosia Malbec 2014

Gualtallary, Tupungato, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe own-rooted Ambrosia fruit is grown at 1307 metres above sea level has been selected to be a part of winemaker Daniel PI’s single vineyard Terroir Series. The native fermentation and maceration takes place in small concrete eggs and tanks before spending 18 months in new French oak, and another year in bottle. This has a highly attractive floral, mineral, blue and red fruited nose. The attack is fresh, almost crunchy, featuring stony, red fruit with a dusting of thyme and rosemary before finishing long with dense, supple tannins. Asado or barbecue lamb would be a perfect match if you must drink it now, otherwise cellar through 2023.Tasted: 16 October 2018Tasted by: Prices: BC 43.99 BCLS Producer: TrapicheDistributors: Dandurand
