Champagne Taittinger Collection 2008
Champagne, FranceA portion of Taittinger's vintage wines fall under the limited edition Collection Series, with each label featuring the work of an international artist. For the 2008, the 14th edition of the Collection Series, Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado is highlighted, as is his interpretation of this special wine. Salgado was the first photographer selected for the commission. 2008 is equal parts pinot noir and chardonnay, 70 percent of which is grand cru and the remainder premier cru. It is bottled with 8 g/l dosage. Powerful and complexed, with nougat, marzipan, dried peach and deep and fine spicing that fill the expansive palate.
