Fontanafredda Barolo La Rosa 2011

Serralunga, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy"La Rosa" is a special interpretation of Barolo in that it comes with elegance and grace yet retains its power – classic Serralunga d’Alba. At seven years old this Barolo is just beginning to reach its plateau, one it should remain on for a decade, if not more. The texture alone will blow you away here, not to mention the subtle floral, licorice, leather notes that last minutes. Rich and dense but with finesse and complexity, drink or hold, the choice is yours. La Rosa spent two-to-three years in cask and then another 12 months in bottle before release.
